Importance of PH When considering pH, rather than having a goal of a specific reading, you should have a goal of stability.
The development of a low pH can usually be attributed to acidic decaying material such as plant and animal wastes.




Importance of KH (Carbonate hardness)
KH measures the buffering capacity or the ability to absorb and neutralize added acid without major changes to pH. Raising KH will reduce sudden drops in PH caused by Acidic plant and animal waste. When testing for Carbonate Hardness, a reading of 1.5- 2 dKH is adequate for most freshwater aquariums, while a reading of 2-7 dKH would be desired for higher pH levels in freshwater. Marine and Reef aquarium should be maintained at a reading of 8- 12 dKH.




Directions Shake well before using
To Raise PH: Add half capful (2.5ml) per 25 gallons per day until desired PH is achieved.
To Raise KH: Add half capful (2.5ml) per 25 gallons per day until desired KH is achieved.
Note: Test PH & KH Frequently!, More or less ALKALINITY PLUS may be needed to maintain a PH/ KH levels. As KH is raised PH will also rise Do not make sudden changes to water chemistry, sudden changes in water chemistry may result in fish loss.Never raise PH more than .2 per day
